Positive: The location is excellent, close to the beach, which was also very nice. The view was great as well. Additionally, the bar near the beach was pleasant to visit.

Negative: Firstly, the unpleasant part was that our room didn’t have a key, which made it feel insecure. Secondly, the facilities were very limited — the bathroom was small and several basic amenities were missing. The price included breakfast by default, but the quality was mediocre — not terrible, but definitely not good. The staff was also just average — not bad, but not particularly welcoming either. For the price, I expected more. I would suggest the owners take a look at other hotels and guesthouses to understand what basic features are missing here and work on improving them. The overall impression is that the place used to function well in the past, and it’s still running based on the remnants of that former quality. But if nothing changes, it’s likely to decline further.

Positive: Really love this amazing place. Always quite, big and comfy rooms, amazing view to Sevan, and big area around. I appreciate the food — its homemade and so tasty. And one of the important thing is Linda, a dog in the camp who is friendly and so funny :)

Positive: The best place on Lake Sevan is the desolate, picturesque Artanish Peninsula and this is one of the very few accommodations that gives you walking access to the peninsula. The second-floor chalet room had a view to the lake. Dinner and breakfast were both very nice. I didn't end up making a shopping trip to the village of Artanish. The hosts picked me up from Sevan city and dropped me off for me to catch a marshrutka van to Tbilisi. And the prices I paid were lower than standard taxi fares.

Negative: I should note that I am more forgiving of inconveniences of the following sort when I encounter them in a remote place with limited infrastructure that I chose primarily for its location than when I encounter them in a city. The water is heated by solar power. In fact it got quite hot in the shower and stayed hot, but I could not moderate the heat. The solar heater device said that the water could be heated to 90 degrees Celsius and that is how hot it came out. Fiddling with the cold knob had no effect until the water became suddenly icy cold. There was no in-between that I could find. The wifi was fine in the central dining hall. In my room, which was at the edge of the property, it was down to 1 or 2 bars--but it still worked most of the time.

Summary: One of the best locations on Lake Sevan.

Positive: Top location of course, beautiful Sevan lake. Just a few cabins located a few minutes on foot from the beach. Beautiful landscapes, relaxation and fun on the lake: this what you come for at Armenian Camp. Very friendly staff, trying to do their best to respond to the guests' needs & accommodate as much as possible - from what they have available. Nice view from 2 terraces. Starry sky. Beautiful sunsets. Tasty breakfast (included) and dinner (not included). Local herbal tea, local fresh fish.

Negative: Limited comfort; this is a CAMP, so you can't expect the same level of comfort here, however for the same price you can get a premium hotel in the capital of Yerevan... But no lake! Hard mattress on a handmade wooden base + Synthetic microfiber bed linen. Very basic shower in the room (attached to a wall in a tiny space with the WC and a sink - no shower curtain, plastic walls, tiled floor, evacuation hole directly in the floor) Of course no air conditioning, no ventilator, can get really hot under the roof. Large group of +/- 15 kids present on site (in tents on the beach, meals in the camp): we were requested to wait and come 30 minutes after the group: for breakfast after 9.30 AM & for dinner at 7.30 PM. Could get very noisy in the evenings & night (disco with powerful speakers on the beach; groups of guests with music/TV/laughs/crowdy activities in common spaces just beneath our room) Overall very nice & friendly atmosphere, however some habits may seem strange/disturbing/disgusting: the rest of fish not eaten by the guests left outside for the dogs, lying in the sun on the ground just next to the common showers & toilets, under the linen cord where the bed linen and personal clothes are put to dry: the smell is quite strong and the dogs and maybe other animals spread the fish around... Could probably get VERY crowdy & noisy on weekends: the facilities would not be sufficient (we spent 2 nights there from Thursday to Saturday, leaving on Saturday afternoon when more and more guests were coming). Only 3-4 umbrellas/beach benches available (these are free of charge). Relatively expensive boats/paddle rentals For some reason fruit was not served with our meals (probably ordered upon request only for large groups) but the staff was kind enough to sell us a portion of fruit upon request.

Summary: Beautiful place! Try to avoid the peak season & weekends if you can to be able to enjoy your stay!
